Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support during orthodontic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to assist effectively in various orthodontic tasks. Duties Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Take impressions and utilize 3D scanners for accurate orthodontic assessments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records using Epic systems and ensure compliance with infection control protocols. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in various specialties, including pediatrics and endodontics. Requirements Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques and familiarity with dental terminology. Knowledge of infection control procedures and best practices in a clinical setting. Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
