Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Licensed Dental Assistant, where your expertise will help deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. You will be the only dental assistant and will be responsible to help with radiographs, chair side assisting with Isolation tools like Optragate and Dryshield. Must be able to run the schedule efficiently and anticipate doctor's needs. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for various dental procedures. Assist dentists chairside during a wide range of treatments including restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and occasionally pediatric dentistry. Assist with prophy polishing and flossing and varnish applications. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Assist with photos. Manage patient records accurately using Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Overjet AI notes to help with note taking to make notation easier. Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to support safe treatment planning, especially for pediatric patients. Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners, and following OSHA guidelines. Requirements Valid licensure as a Dental Assistant with current certification in CPR and X-ray licensing. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry or pediatric dentistry setting. Proficiency with Open Dental. Able to use NOMAD handheld Radiograph machine. CBCT and pano radiographs Must be able to take a FMX series PA's and BW: 5-10 minutes or less. 3D Medit scanner use Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance patient comfort and procedure efficiency. Familiarity with dental coding and dental terminology relevant to dental procedures is preferred. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists.
