Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will support dentists in delivering exceptional patient care by providing chairside assistance, managing clinical procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow within our busy dental practice. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to ensure infection control standards are met. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage medical records and documentation accurately using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; ensure compliance with HIPAA and medical coding standards. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Provide excellent dental reception services by scheduling appointments, updating patient information, and coordinating with the dental team for efficient clinic operations. Support four-handed dentistry practices by handing instruments efficiently and maintaining a clean, organized workspace throughout procedures. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in the state of practice. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Must be bilingual (English and Spanish fluency) Proficiency in EMR systems such as Opendental or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety guidelines; experience with medical imaging is preferred. Knowledge of General dentistry practices and experience working with patients of all ages is highly desirable.
