Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Southport, CT

Job Summary We are seeking a professional, dependable, and highly motivated Front Desk Patient Coordinator to join our team. This position is available full-time, though part-time candidates may be considered. Immediate start available. Our office hours are MondayâThursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. No weekends. We offer excellent PTO and a 401(k) program. Compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. We are a private, non-corporate dental practice that prides itself on providing high-end, personalized care and an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate will be warm, professional, confident, and committed to delivering top-tier customer service while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greeting and checking patients in and out with professionalism and courtesy Answering multi-line phone systems and managing patient communications Scheduling and coordinating appointments efficiently Presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements Verifying insurance benefits and assisting with insurance-related inquiries Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation Managing patient flow and ensuring a positive office experience Assisting with administrative projects and daily office operations Skills Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills Professional appearance and demeanor Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and confidence in handling difficult conversations professionally Assertive and proactive problem-solver who is not afraid to address issues directly and respectfully Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment Dental office experience and dental knowledge are a plus Dentrix experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses an exceptional attitude, strong work ethic, professionalism, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care and customer service Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Employee discount Paid time off Uniform allowance Work Location: In person
