Registered Dental Assistant Responsibilities Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Record vital signs and medical history information, updating patient records with precision in medical documentation systems like Epic Provide chairside assistance by understanding dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and assisting with various procedures across multiple specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control guidelines and OSHA standards Registered Dental Assistant Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures Strong knowledge of dental assisting practices including X-ray techniques, medical imaging, and aseptic technique Experience using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar platforms is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for safeguarding patient information Ability to communicate effectively using dental and medical terminology with team members and patients of diverse backgrounds Experience supporting pediatric dentistry is highly desirable, along with understanding of pediatrics-specific procedures and considerations Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical coding, and maintain accurate medical records Join us in making a difference by providing exceptional dental care with energy, professionalism, and compassion.
