Job Title: Part-Time Dental Assistant / Sterilization Tech (Will Train in Ortho!) Location: Land O' Lakes, FL 34639 Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour (Based on experience) Hours: Part-Time (18–24 hours per week) | No Weekends! In this cross-trained role, you will be the backbone of our clinic by managing our sterilization lab, while simultaneously receiving hands-on clinical training to become a top-tier Orthodontic Assistant. You won’t just be thrown to the wolves—you will learn the specialized art of orthodontics under the direct mentorship of our doctor and a 2 veteran lead assistants. What You Will Do: Keep Us Safe & Flowing: Manage the sterilization lab, processing instruments in strict accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines, and run biological spore testing for our autoclaves. Keep Us Moving: Execute rapid, thorough treatment room turnover between patients to keep the schedule running smoothly. Master New Tech: Learn to capture high-quality diagnostic records, including extraoral/intraoral photos and cutting-edge iTero digital 3D scans (we will train you!). Hands-On Patient Care: Provide chairside support (suctioning, instrument transfer) during active orthodontic bonding and wire adjustments. Be a Bridge: Provide Spanish/English translation for patients and parents during clinical reviews and treatment presentations (Bilingual candidates are highly preferred!). What We Are Looking For: Education & Certifications: An active Florida EFDA and Dental Radiographer certification is great, BUT we are willing to provide a 3-month on-the-job training path for the right dedicated candidate to get certified! Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred. Professionalism: We are a low-stress, high energy office.
