Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Naples, FL

Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies to ensure efficient workflow. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, accurately documenting patient information, treatment plans, and medical history. Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, answering patient inquiries, and managing medical documentation including medical coding and records. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and X-ray machines safely and effectively. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry settings; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding processes. Certification in X-ray safety and infection control; CPR certification is preferred. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the team including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
