Requirements: Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience required . Current Dental Assistant certification/licensure as required by state regulations. Current CPR/BLS certification preferred. Duties Dental Assistant â Duties and Responsibilities Our Dental Assistants are responsible for providing clinical support to the dentist and RDH's while ensuring exceptional patient care and maintaining an efficient and organized work environment. Responsibilities include: Prepare and set up treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment for all dental procedures. Assist the dentist during a variety of restorative, preventive, and surgical procedures. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and operatories in accordance with CDC, and infection control guidelines. Take dental radiographs (X-rays). Accurately document and complete patient chart notes and update dental records. Fabricate temporary crowns and restorations as needed. Scan, design, and assist with same-day crown fabrication using the CEREC system. Present and review treatment plans with patients and answer questions regarding recommended procedures. Perform coronal polishing and apply sealants etc. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions. Maintain inventory and ensure adequate clinical supplies are stocked and available. Support efficient patient flow and contribute to a positive patient experience. Perform all duties and responsibilities within the legal scope of practice for a Dental Assistant and comply with all state and federal regulations.
