Working Days Tuesdays or Wednesdays Schedule may change depending on the needs of the practice Qualifications Experience: Dental Assistant, 1-3 years (Required) Education: High School or equivalent (Required) Work Status: Authorized to work in U.S. Licenses: â DANB Certification (Required) â CPR/AED Certification (Required) â Radiology Certification (Required) Other Experience: Experience assisting endodontics (Not required, but a plus) Ability to work closely with patients, dental material and instruments, and computers and dental equipment Desired Behavioral Traits: - Enthusiastic - Caring - Have great chair side manner - Dependable and a self-starter - Organized and detail oriented - Both team player and autonomous - Consistently professional and positive appearance and attitude Full Job Description This is a specialty office focused exclusively on endodontic care. The role of the dental assistant is to primarily help the endodontist and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: · Providing great patient care and comforting our patients · Managing the schedule to ensure patients are not waiting and are tended to · Communicate well across the team to create a seamless patient experience · Preparing patients for dental work (making sure is signed the treatment plan and consent, taking blood pressure, explaining the procedure, asking them if have any questions) · Taking x-rays on patients based on the doctorâs direction · Educating patients under the doctorâs supervision on dental procedure · Chairside assisting. Assist the doctor on every procedure · Recording treatment information in patient records · Performing maintenance of equipment if needed (sterilizer and spore test) · Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment · Practicing strong hygiene and sterilization protocols to help the safety of our patients and team members · Assisting dentist in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary · Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the doctor · Setting up rooms for patient care to support the doctor in executing dental procedures · Caring for dental equipment and instruments · Maintaining and cleaning the operatories rooms and lab area (vacuum and/or Swiffer the areas if needed) · Performing dental inventories as directed by the doctor · Helping the office manager as needed (including calling a patient, answer the phone, confirming appointments, etc.) · Any other task that may be requested by the doctor or practice leadership Pay: From $26.00 per hour Work Location: In person
