Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, scheduling appointments and answering inquiries promptly. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes. Maintain accurate patient records by updating medical and dental histories, reviewing documentation, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms. Support clinic operations by managing appointment scheduling, patient intake procedures, and filing medical records efficiently. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all administrative activities. Skills Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong familiarity with front desk duties and office management. Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental is a plus. Knowledge of dental terminology is a plus but can be taught. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10-key), and familiarity with multi-line phone systems. Strong understanding of health information management practices, documentation review, and medical administrative support functions. Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette to handle patient inquiries compassionately and efficiently. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all clerical tasks. Previous clinic or dental office experience is great but not necessary. Familiarity with dental terminology and dental office workflows is advantageous.
