Dual Role Dental Assistant/PSR – Join a Mission‑Driven Practice Community Dental | Lewiston, Maine Community Dental is expanding our clinical team and seeking a Dental Assistant/PSR to support our growing, patient‑centered practice in Lewiston, ME. This position is ideal for someone with dental assisting experience and PSR experience or for an individual motivated to build a long‑term career in dentistry. Compensation Competitive pay based on experience and skills Work Schedule Part‑time position Three (3) 10‑hour shifts per week Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM What You’ll Do Provide chairside assistance throughout a wide range of dental procedures Set up and break down treatment rooms, including instruments and materials Capture dental radiographs in accordance with safety and quality standards Follow sterilization and infection‑control protocols consistently Help patients understand oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and follow‑up instructions Record treatment notes and patient information accurately in Dentrix Support smooth daily patient flow and assist other departments when needed Contribute positively to a collaborative, respectful team atmosphere Check patients in/ out Schedule next appointments Answer phone calls/ voicemails Take payments What We’re Looking For Prior dental assisting experience is helpful but not required Exposure to dental terminology, radiology, and sterilization practices is beneficial Medical terminology knowledge is a plus Background in pediatric or dentistry is an advantage Reliable, professional, and patient‑focused approach Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills Training & Professional Growth Community Dental supports long‑term development and offers educational assistance toward: Dental Assistant Radiography License Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) Benefits Package Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Short‑ and Long‑Term Disability Coverage 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching Paid Time Off (PTO) annually Bereavement Leave Free on‑site parking Job Type: Full‑time Location: On‑site | Lewiston, ME If you’re looking for a stable schedule, a supportive team, and work that positively impacts the community, Community Dental would love to hear from you.
