Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Denton, MD
Dr. Scott Novak and his dental team are looking for a dental assistant to join our team. As a dental assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth operation with all phases of dentistry. Salary based upon experience. We are a one doctor office and you will work along side another experienced assistant. We offer competitive pay and a bonus incentive program to recognize the efforts of our dental assisting team. Our schedule is a 4-day work week, we do not work evenings or Saturdays. Our team helps to foster a great working environment for both our clinical team and our patients. Intra Oral Scanning (IOS) and CBCT imaging are available to ensure we are fully utilizing the latest technology to ensure patient care is at the highest standard. We utilize Dentrix as our PMS and Dexis for radiographs/photos. Responsibilities: Greet patients, prepare them for procedures, taking vitals, ensure their comfort, and provide post-treatment instructions. Work chairside with the dentist during procedures, handing them instruments, suctioning fluids, preparing materials, and ensuring the dentist has everything they need. Maintaining a clean and sterile environment is a top priority. Assistants sterilize instruments, disinfect treatment areas, and follow strict infection control protocols. Prepare operatories for both the dentist and hygienist, clean exam rooms and replenish supplies. Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications: Six months of dental assisting experience preferred MD X-ray certification (or eligibility if completing the coursework) Current BLS and CPR certification preferred Knowledge of infection control protocols Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Job Type: Full-time Base Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
