Responsibilities

• Chairside Assistance: Hand instruments, operate suction hoses, and provide retraction during treatments (fillings, crowns, etc.).
• Patient Preparation: Greet patients, record medical histories, and measure vital signs (e.g., blood pressure).
• Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays (requires state-approved certification).
• Infection Control: Sterilize and disinfect dental tools, and sanitize treatment rooms between patients.
• Lab Work: Take impressions of teeth and prepare materials for crowns or temporary restorations.
