Responsibilities Escort patients to and from procedures Communicate well with patients of all ages and dental team, and be able to explain procedures and put patients at ease. Anticipate and provide chairside assist for dentist with dental terminology explanations, and coding as needed during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative and prosthodontics. Promptly send out and monitor all laboratory cases Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using Eaglesoft system while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing records efficiently, and willing to assist anywhere in the office where needed. Qualifications High school diploma or higher equivalent and completed a CODA accredited dental assistant program including a course in dental instruments and procedures Valid state licensure or certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential and passed DANB exam. Current CPR and X-Ray certification HIPPA and OSHA training Proven experience in dental assisting within a fast-paced clinical environment; experience with general dentistry is preferred Proficiency in Eaglesoft, familiarity with documentation and coding processes Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, anatomy, dental terminology Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; Strong understanding of chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and support team collaboration.
