Job description: Dental Hygienist – Join Our Patient-Focused Team Dentistry of Tavares | Tavares, FL Dentistry of Tavares is a well-established, privately owned dental practice in Tavares, FL seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. Our practice is busy, collaborative, and supportive, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a professional and positive environment. Flexible scheduling options are available. We are currently looking to fill in Fridays and 2 Saturdays a month. On occasions may ask for additional days upon availability. We are looking for a hygienist who is clinically confident, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient education and periodontal health. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their clinical work, communicates clearly with patients, and enjoys being part of a team that values excellence and compassion. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist Strong skills in periodontal assessment, diagnosis, and documentation Proficiency in dental terminology, procedures, and treatment planning Knowledge of CDT dental codes Experience with Open Dental software preferred (not required) Thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Excellent communication and patient-education skills Role Overview As a Dental Hygienist in our practice, you will play an essential role in preventive and periodontal care , helping patients improve and maintain their oral health. You will work closely with our doctors and team to provide comprehensive hygiene services while educating patients on treatment needs and long-term oral health. Your clinical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to build trust with patients will directly contribute to both patient satisfaction and the continued growth of our practice.
