Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while performing a variety of clinical tasks such as patient assessments, preventive care, oral hygiene education, and dental cleanings. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure the highest standards of dental hygiene and patient comfort. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and patient management. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean environment. Collaborate with the dental team to deliver comprehensive care in general dentistry. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Qualifications Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus. Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and dental terminology. Experience with digital imaging and documentation review processes. Ability to maintain infection control standards effectively. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education. Certification as a Dental Hygienist with an active Florida state license is required.
