Registered Dental Hygienist - Fuller General Dentistry - Ferndale, MI

We are seeking an energetic dental hygienist for Thursdays only-except for holidays. Regular hours are 9 AM to 6:30 PM, with the last patient at 5:30PM. On the first Thursday of each month, we start at 8 AM and finish around 2 PM. Pay ranges from $55 to $65 per hour. You'll have a dedicated hygiene assistant, and we’re looking for someone who loves patient care—providing sealants, scaling and root planning, antibiotic therapy, patient education, and making every cleaning a positive experience! And if you’re interested, we can offer an additional day or two each month. Responsibilities Follow OSHA and HIPAA protocols and guidelines Welcome and seat your patients in the dental office Perform teeth cleaning and polishing on our patients as well as scaling and root planing as needed. Administer local anesthetic Fluoride and sealant application Helping to reinforce treatment needed to our patients Providing hygiene care and instructions Select and set up your own instruments, equipment and material needed Some sterilization of instruments according to regulations Taking diagnostic, digital, dental x-rays Keeping your dental room/operatory clean and well-stocked Setting up and breaking down your operatory Scheduling some of your patient's appointments when needed Taking and recording blood pressure Help when needed Help with equipment maintenance in your operatory Desired Skills Self motivated At least 1 year of experience as an RDH Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and great multi-tasker Reliable attendance Works well as a team-player Familiar with Dentrix or Eaglesoft Job Type: Part-time Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour Work Location: In person
