Dental Hygienist - Evans Family Dentistry - San Antonio, TX

We have an opening for a Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice. Hygienists will perform examinations and extensive cleanings, take x-rays when necessary, and administer fluoride treatments. Hygienists will provide our patients with instructions on brushing and flossing techniques. You must have a current state license. We pride ourselves in providing the best care to all of our patients, so our Hygienists are expected to be attentive and detailed in their cleanings. Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities Gather patient information and health background Perform prophy and coronal polishing Sealants Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits Update patient records including notes Take x-rays, Sterilize dental instruments and equipment when necessary Dental Hygienist Requirements and Qualifications Associate degree or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program Current state license and x-ray certification Understanding of dental hygiene procedures Knowledge of sterilization techniques Excellent written and communication skills Must have flexible schedule to include late hours and some weekends We provide Health insurance, PTO and dental benefits and bonus structure for full time Hygienist.
