Overview Join our dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! This position offers the opportunity to work closely with licensed dentists, supporting a wide range of dental procedures in a fast-paced, friendly environment. You will be the backbone of our clinic, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining patient comfort, and upholding the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques to ensure infection control. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and endodontics with chairside support. Take and develop X-ray images using digital radiography equipment while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, including updating medical documentation and coding. Measure vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, especially in pediatric dentistry cases. Provide excellent dental receptionist support by scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing medical records efficiently. Support the use of advanced technology like 3D scanners for precise dental imaging and treatment planning. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while following infection control protocols aligned with OSHA standards. Assist with medical documentation related to dental procedures and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Collaborate seamlessly with team members in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and patient experience. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with children is highly desirable. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology required; additional certifications in medical coding or pediatrics are a plus. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages and backgrounds. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
