Duties Greet patients warmly and manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring optimal patient flow. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle medical billing and collections accurately using systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Maintain precise medical records by reviewing documentation, managing electronic health records (EHR), and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with intake procedures, patient check-in/out processes, and updating patient information in the system. Process payments, perform medical coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding, and ensure accurate documentation review for billing purposes. Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, maintaining medical records, and managing clinic supplies to ensure seamless daily operations. Qualifications Proven experience in a dental office or medical administrative support role with strong familiarity with dental terminology and medical coding practices. Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with EMR systems like Epic or Meditech is highly desirable. Knowledge of insurance verification processes, Medicare guidelines, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and HIPAA compliance standards. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing speed of at least 10 key digits per second. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical records management. Exceptional customer service abilities with professional phone etiquette and bilingual skills preferred to serve diverse patient populations. Clinic experience or hospital experience is a plus; familiarity with health information management systems enhances your candidacy. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
