Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, answer multi-line phone systems, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software WinOMS Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing procedures to facilitate seamless medical billing and collections Maintain and update patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems including eClinicalWorks, Meditech, or similar platforms in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review documentation for accuracy, including medical history forms, treatment plans, and insurance information; ensure proper coding with CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 codes for billing purposes Assist with intake procedures by collecting patient information and explaining office policies clearly and courteously Support administrative tasks such as filing medical records, managing office supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized front desk environment Requirements Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth; experience with health information management is highly desirable Knowledge of medical coding including CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards; understanding of Medicare guidelines is a plus Ability to perform accurate 10-key typing and utilize Microsoft Office applications efficiently Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently; bilingual skills are preferred to serve diverse patient populations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry tasks Prior clinic or healthcare office experience that demonstrates professionalism in patient service and office management roles Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment; flexible to adapt to changing priorities Join us in creating a welcoming atmosphere where patients feel valued from their very first contact!
