Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, manage patient check-in and check-out processes, and handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and enthusiasm. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software. Verify insurance coverage and benefits. Manage patient records accurately by updating electronic health records (EHR). Collect payments. Review documentation for accuracy, maintain organized filing systems for medical records and dental charts, and support documentation review processes. Assist with intake procedures, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications to foster a positive patient experience. Requirements Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong familiarity in dental terminology and medical coding practices. Proficiency in dental practice management software. Knowledge of insurance verification processes, medical billing, ICD/ICD-10 coding standards, and HIPAA compliance requirements. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) along with typing proficiency (10 key typing). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping. Exceptional phone etiquette combined with excellent customer service skills; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations. Previous office management or front desk experience in a dental clinic or healthcare environment preferred.
