We are a busy, well-established single doctor general dental office looking for a hygienist. Patient Hours Monday – Wednesday 7:30 – 5 or 6 pm and Thursday 7:00am- 2:00 pm Total Work Hours: Flexible (Full-time or Part-time) Benefits · Competitive salary (DOE) · Free dental work (includes spouse and children) · Free CPR renewal · 401K (elective) · 60 minute adult prophies – get to know our patients as people · No pressure to sell products · Medical stipend or employer sponsored health insurance · Paid time off-sick time · Paid Holidays · Uniform allowance · CE allowance Desired Education and Experience · Graduate of accredited dental hygiene program · Compliance with MN state dental practice requirements such as x-ray, OSHA, and Basic Life Support/AED certification · Experience with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite · Current MN dental hygiene license Responsibilities · Sterilize dental instruments properly · Conduct initial mouth screenings and check medical history and oral health history · Ensure patients are comfortable during treatment and develop rewarding relationships with patients · Identify conditions and treat periodontal conditions like gingivitis or periodontitis · Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque, scaling and root planing or apply fluoride) · Educate patients of all ages on proper oral home care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) · Take quality, diagnostic X-rays or dental impressions · Maintain documentation and charts on each patient · Monitor and order hygiene supplies Skills · In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA, OSHA) · Able to perform prophylaxis and scaling/root planing appropriately · Outstanding communication skills · A patient and friendly personality · Attention to detail Healthcare setting Private Dental office Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement License/Certification: MN dental hygiene license (Required) Work Location: In person
