Dental Assistant - Walker Pediatric Dentistry - Millcreek, UT

We are looking for a fun and energetic assistant to join our dental family. We are a small and close-knit office in the Millcreek area and we need someone reliable and efficient to add to our team. This is a great job for mothers or for someone who is also going to school part time. We are willing to train the right person, but experience or graduation from a dental assisting course is preferred. Employees do get free cleanings and basic work for themselves and their spouse and/or children. Pay range is not set in stone and is dependent upon experience. Responsibilities Welcome patients in the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $10.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Medical Specialty: Pediatrics Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
