Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials while maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Take dental X-rays using digital imaging , ensuring proper patient positioning and safety protocols. Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Open Dental, including medical history updates and treatment documentation. Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits. Maintain clinical supplies inventory, sterilize instruments, and uphold strict infection control practices in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient clinic flow through four-handed dentistry techniques and effective communication. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures. Experience with dental radiography including X-ray techniques and 3D scanner operation for comprehensive diagnostics. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and pediatric patient management. Ability to perform chairside assisting with proficiency in aseptic technique and dental assisting best practices. Knowledge of medical coding for billing purposes related to dental procedures and treatments. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or front desk support are a plus for seamless patient interactions.
