Hygiene Assistant Bunn Family Dentistry – Bunn, NC Help us create an exceptional patient experience. Bunn Family Dentistry is a growing, technology-driven private practice looking for a dependable, motivated Hygiene Assistant who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is much more than a traditional assisting position. Our Hygiene Assistant plays a critical role in keeping the hygiene department running efficiently, helping patients receive the treatment they need, and ensuring every day is set up for success. Responsibilities Patient Care Seat and dismiss patients Take digital radiographs Take intraoral photographs Assist hygienists during patient care as needed Perform coronal polishing Apply fluoride treatments Assist with sealants when appropriate Sterilize and maintain instruments Turn over treatment rooms efficiently Stock operatories throughout the day Schedule Management Review the following day’s hygiene schedule each afternoon Verify medical histories and identify changes Ensure appropriate radiographs are due Identify outstanding treatment that can be completed during hygiene appointments Coordinate with the doctor when patients need examinations or additional treatment Help optimize the hygiene schedule by filling openings and reducing downtime Clinical Support Verify treatment plans are complete and signed Help identify patients due for periodontal therapy or sealants Ensure necessary instruments and supplies are prepared before appointments Maintain accurate documentation in Dentrix Ascend Support hygiene production goals through efficient patient flow Team Responsibilities Participate in daily morning huddles Present schedule review findings to the team Communicate opportunities to improve patient care and scheduling Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the office Support teammates whenever needed We’re Looking For Someone Who Is Dependable and punctual Organized and detail-oriented Friendly and compassionate Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment A strong communicator Positive with a team-first attitude Willing to learn and grow Passionate about providing excellent patient care Qualifications Dental assisting experience preferred X-ray certification required Coronal polishing certification required Experience with Dentrix Ascend is a plus Excellent customer service skills Strong computer skills Why Join Our Team?
