As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our doctors and clinical team while helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental visits. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, surgical, and hygiene appointments. Prepare treatment rooms for patient care by ensuring all instruments and materials are properly sterilized and organized. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to OSHA and infection control standards. Take diagnostic dental radiographs and intraoral images. Prepare materials for impressions, restorations, and other dental procedures. Provide patients with post-operative and home care instructions. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and clinical notes. Ensure treatment rooms are stocked and ready for daily operations. Educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment recommendations. Assist with scheduling, charting, and other administrative duties as needed. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and office policies and procedures. Qualifications Current Dental Assisting certification or diploma required. Current X-ray certification required (as applicable by state regulations). Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and clinical procedures. Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix Ascend is preferred. Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures. Familiarity with digital radiography and dental imaging systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and a commitment to outstanding patient care.
