Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and confidence Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining an aseptic environment following infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays and utilize 3D scanners to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental wellness Monitor vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety during procedures Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties including appointment scheduling and patient check-in/out Skills Proficiency in EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for accurate medical documentation and record keeping Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding for effective communication and record management Experience with chairside assisting across diverse specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Skilled in taking X-rays, utilizing 3D scanners, and performing medical imaging techniques with attention to detail Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety Ability to perform vital signs assessment and understand medical terminology relevant to dental care Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and working effectively with children in a clinical setting Join us if you’re ready to bring your expertise in dental assisting into a vibrant environment where your skills make a real difference!
