As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing preventative dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and conducting oral examinations. Administer dental cleanings and apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Monitor vital signs and document findings accurately in patient records. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols. Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications: Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required. Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
