Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting oral health education. This position requires a strong focus on patient assessment and care, as well as proficiency in various dental software systems. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine oral health status. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral hygiene. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical records accurately using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software. Assist in infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment. Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry and pediatrics. Review documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Provide compassionate patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have during their visit. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of infection control protocols is essential. Familiarity with Dentrix dental software is highly desirable. Strong skills in patient assessment and documentation review. Experience working in general dentistry and pediatrics is a plus.
