Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-Time Hygienist (working Tuesday's 9am-5pm with an hours lunch 1pm-2pm), where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient experience. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) with Dentrix. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, HIPAA regulations, and dental terminology standards to ensure compliance and safety. Support pediatric dentistry procedures by understanding anatomy knowledge specific to children and providing compassionate care tailored to pediatrics. Experience Prior experience working as a dental hygienist in a office environment is preferred. Proficiency with EMR system Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices, including working with childrenâs anatomy and behavior management techniques. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Experience in infection control procedures, medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and general dentistry procedures is advantageous. Join us in creating healthier smiles!
