Job Summary We are looking for a part time dental hygienist to join our dental team for 1-3 days per week. We are a general family practice focused on preventative care. We allow sufficient time for you to do a thorough job with each patient and work at a reasonable pace. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental records Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining proper aseptic technique Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Document all procedures accurately in Eaglesoft. Monitor and record vital signs before treatments to ensure patient safety during procedures Support general dentistry services by assisting dentists during various treatments and procedures Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper medical coding for billing purposes Experien Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is essential for efficient documentation. Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes is required Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to support accurate assessments Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry enhances patient diagnosis capabilities Join us in providing outstanding dental care that transforms smiles! .
