Dental Clinical Assistant - Elite Periodontics and Implant Dentistry PC - Livingston, NJ

Elite Periodontics & Implants is seeking motivated and caring individuals with strong personal, clinical, and communication skills with an overall team mentality. We are looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant with a can-do attitude, a proactive nature, a strong sense of ownership and integrity, interest in building their skills, and a desire to grow long-term with us. You will provide direct and indirect clinical assistance in a well-respected, fast-paced, state-of-the-art periodontal & implant practice. Our dental assistants find our work environment to be relaxed and casual, yet lively and rewarding. We offer on-the-job training with multiple growth opportunities for advancement within our practice. This position's availability is needed Monday-Friday, 8am-5 pm & 3-Saturday’s a month from 8am-1pm. The office is closed on Wednesdays. Please be punctual, reliable, and have dependable transportation to get to work on time. Competitive pay structures are based on individual experience and skill set. The ideal candidate will have: Necessary industry certifications and education Possess outstanding time management, communication, and enjoys working in a team environment. Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, technical skills and equipment Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort Setup instruments, equipment, and materials needed for the corresponding treatment/visit Breakdown operatories after each visit and reset for the next appointment Sterilize instruments according to regulations Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Ensure each operatory is clean and well-stocked Keep inventory on back office supplies and submit a monthly order form before running low on stock Understanding of health & safety Able to process creative feedback for performance improvement (if needed) Qualifications Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required. Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) experience a bonus. We request a minimum of 2 years of experience, as well as a positive and professional attitude Must have experience in radiographs and impressions Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods High school diploma X-Ray Certification (Required) Benefits Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour 401(k) Paid sick time and holidays 8 hour shift Hours must be able to work: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. Saturdays from 8 AM to 12 PM. There will be two late nights a month on a Monday and Thursday, therefore the hours for a late night is 8 AM to 7 PM.
