Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to all safety protocols Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and progress in Dentrix Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment Monitor and record vital signs to assess patient health status before treatments Review medical records for accurate documentation review and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Support pediatric dentistry cases by applying specialized knowledge of pediatrics and dental terminology Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting Familiarity with Dentrix is highly preferred but not required Strong understanding of general dentistry procedures, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health Experience with infection control practices, including sterilization techniques and aseptic procedures Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles to effectively care for young patients Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise enhances lives through healthier smiles!
