Huggins Dental is hiring a Dental Hygienist! Private practice , great pay , 4 weeks PTO plus paid holidays . We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working dental hygienist. This is a GREAT opportunity to join a single location, private practice where you are highly respected and given enough time to treat your patients! Our team looks after one another and we have a culture that we are proud of! Our hours are 8-4:30 Monday-Thursday and 8-1:30 on Friday. We are looking for someone to work a consistent 2-4 days per week . Pay will be based on experience. Our practice is located off of Poinsett Highway between downtown Greenville and Travelers Rest. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Excitement to treat patients of all ages Ability to work efficiently without compromising care Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Complete non-surgical scaling and root planing Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Ability to anesthetize patients Registered Dental Hygienist Valid license to practice Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $45.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
