Dental Hygienist - Stephen Petinge DMD - Saugus, MA

We are a friendly, patient-focused dental practice seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our team. This part-time position requires Mondays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional hours available on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays based on the hygienist’s availability. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance Take digital radiographs (X-rays) as needed Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care Maintain accurate and complete patient records Conduct oral health assessments and chart findings Assist in developing treatment plans with the dentist Follow infection control and sterilization protocols Work collaboratively with the dentist and dental team to provide exceptional patient care Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience with pediatric dentistry, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures. Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental instruments efficiently during procedures. Ability to measure vital signs accurately and interpret medical imaging results. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when needed.
