Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in the overall management of patient health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient comfort and safety. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate oral health and hygiene needs. Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, while ensuring patient comfort. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures by supporting the dentist during examinations and treatments. Utilize Eaglesoft or similar dental software for patient management and documentation review. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in a pediatric dentistry setting when necessary. Ensure all dental clinic systems are followed for infection control and safety protocols. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental management software is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
