Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology. Deliver a broad spectrum of dental treatments such as restorative procedures, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to document medical records accurately while adhering to HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and maintain compliance with healthcare standards. Conduct oral surgery procedures and provide pediatric dentistry services with sensitivity to pediatric patientsâ needs. Collaborate with specialists in anesthesiology for sedation procedures when necessary and ensure patient comfort throughout treatment. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment options while fostering positive patient relationships. Maintain proficiency in dental fabrication techniques and stay current on advancements in general dentistry practices to enhance clinical outcomes. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with a focus on general dentistry. Demonstrated expertise in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical diagnosis relevant to dentistry. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other restorative procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques and managing young patients effectively. Ability to work efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups while maintaining high standards of patient care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance during all clinical activities.
