Practice is located in the heart of downtown Glencoe, IL and is a well-established general dental practice serving the North Shore communities for 50 years! We are a supportive, customer-centric and fast-paced dental office. We treat our patients with compassion and help educate patients to improve their oral health. We are a family practice and serves all demographics from preschool to geriatrics. Our practice presently supports 22 part-time and full-time employees, some of which have been with us over 35 years. We have a beautiful, modern office with wonderful patients, an enthusiastic team, and 4 sincere dentists dedicated to quality care. We pride ourselves in providing an exceptional patient experience and we have made that our motto!! Our practice is looking for a dental assistant with at least 2 years of experience, who will continue to make our office more efficient and pleasant for patients. **Saturday scheduled is generally only the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month and we are never open a holiday weekend (ie, Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.) **Salary is negotiable based on experience and benefits provided by office. Some Duties and Skills Required will include: > Show compassionate care and concern, and help patients feel comfortable for treatment > Monitor patient arrival times; to greet and escort patient to the treatment rooms > Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques in order to disinfect treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to OSHA regulations > Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed for treatment > Review patient health history according to the practice protocol > Anticipate and assist the dentist during patient treatment through 4-handed dentistry > Take digital dental X-rays (incl Panorex/CBCT ) and process with digital sensors or phosphor plates > Competent in taking Alginate impressions and pouring up models, as well as digital scans (Itero) > Ensure that accurate treatment notes are recorded for each patient in the dental software (Eaglesoft) > Provide patients with post-op instructions when necessary. > Monitor and manage inventories, as well as clean and stock treatment rooms > Managing out-going/in-coming lab cases The following are not require but would be preferred: > Current certification in CPR (Certification and training provided by the office) > Nitrous oxide monitoring certification (Certification provided by the office) > Knowledge of Eaglesoft Dental Program (On the job training provided) >Digital scanning using iTero® digital scanning system (On the job training provided) >Maintaining Solea® Laser (On the job training provided) >Taking a CBCT (On the job training provided) >Making temporary crowns (On the job training) Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $27.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Free parking Health insurance On-the-job training Paid sick time Paid time off Safety equipment provided Uniform allowance Experience: Chairside assisting: 2 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Glencoe, IL 60022 (Required) Work Location: In person
