Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Roswell, GA
Only candidates with experience and/or graduated from an accredited program need apply. Job responsibilities include: -Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. -Explaining office procedures before treatment to patients. -Providing quality and compassionate care to every patient before, during, and after dental treatment. -Patient management during dental procedures.. -Dental charting of patient's pre-existing and accurate inputting of patient progress notes. -Providing patients with post-op instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling). -Taking impressions of patient's teeth for study casts (models of teeth). -Preparing and maintaining dental instruments, supplies, and equipment. -Taking x-rays, collecting and recording patient health histories. -Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol, and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. -Monitor equipment and handpiece repairs for all operatory equipment, accurate completion, and follow-up of repair logs. -Completion of daily/weekly/monthly tasks including autoclave testing and cleaning of traps. -Assisting with monthly supply orders. -Assisting clinic with recall and treatment plan reports. -Responsible for adhering to all government and company regulations.
