Dental Assistant Pendleton Neighborhood Dental Pendleton, SC 29670 Full-time or Part-time Expected start date: Mid-September 2026 Pay: $16–$23 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Job Summary Pendleton Neighborhood Dental is a new, privately owned dental office estimated to open in mid-September 2026 in Pendleton, SC. We are looking for a dependable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team as we prepare to open and build the practice from the ground up. Our office will focus on honest, patient-centered dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. We plan to offer general dentistry, emergency visits, restorative care, crowns, extractions, implants, clear aligners, dentures, and family dental care. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a startup dental office where teamwork, reliability, and patient care truly matter. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during exams, fillings, crowns, extractions, implants, emergency visits, and other general dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms before appointments and clean/disinfect rooms after procedures Take digital X-rays as needed Take impressions or intraoral scans as needed Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection control protocols Help seat patients and make them feel comfortable during their visits Review basic post-op instructions and patient care instructions as directed by the dentist Maintain clinical supplies and help keep operatories organized Support the front desk and other team members when needed Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and standard dental office safety guidelines Help create a positive, calm, and professional patient experience Qualifications Dental assisting experience preferred X-ray certification preferred Must be reliable, organized, and willing to learn Strong communication and patient service skills Comfortable working in a new and growing startup environment Ability to multitask and help wherever needed Positive attitude and team-first mindset Experience with digital dentistry, scanning, implants, oral surgery, or removable prosthetics is a plus but not required Schedule Our planned office hours are: Thursday to Saturday 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Additional weekday hours may be added as the practice grows. We are open to discussing full-time or part-time availability.
