Duties Assist orthodontists during patient procedures, including placement and adjustment of braces, retainers, and other appliances. Prepare treatment areas with sterilized instruments and materials while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans and medical imaging, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on orthodontic care, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Ensure accurate medical documentation and coding for procedures performed during visits.
