Job Duties: assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures taking dental radiographs (x-rays) asking about the patient's medical history serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling) taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies) Our office uses the following and experience preferred but will train the right person: Eaglesoft Dental Software Carestream Digital X-ray Sirona Orthopos SL Panoramic/Cone Beam CEREC Waterlase MD hard/soft tissue laser Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) 2% match 401(k) matching Continuing education credits Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Professional development assistance Safety equipment provided Uniform allowance Experience: Dental Assisting: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
