What You'll Be Doing

• Performing comprehensive and recall exams, diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning
• Providing comprehensive restorative care including composite fillings, crowns and bridges, extractions, root canal therapy, dentures and partials, night guards, and other core general dentistry procedures across all aspects of patient care
• Conducting hygiene checks, supporting the clinical quality of the hygiene department, and performing select hygiene duties as needed, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, laser bacterial reduction, and irrigation
• Serving as the clinical lead during the owner's designated absences — maintaining continuity of patient care, exercising independent clinical judgment, managing any urgent or unplanned patient needs that arise, and ensuring the team has clear direction so the day runs without interruption
• Keeping clinical documentation accurate and timely
• Communicating with patients the way we always do here: clearly, honestly, and with genuine care

The Autonomy You'll Have

You won't be micromanaged. We trust our associate to use their clinical judgment, run their chair their way, and make decisions that are right for the patient in front of them. The team will support you fully — front desk, hygiene, and assistants are seasoned and know how to work well with a doctor — but the clinical lane is yours.

When the owner is away, you're in charge. That means you're the one holding it together, and we want someone who welcomes that responsibility rather than shies away from it.

What We're Looking For

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
• Active, unrestricted California dental license (or eligible to obtain prior to start date)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Comfortable and confident across the full scope of general dentistry
• A warm, unhurried chairside manner — patients here appreciate being treated like people, not appointments
• Someone who communicates well with a team and takes ownership of their day
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus, but what matters most is attitude and reliability

Schedule

Part-time, currently Thursdays and three Fridays per month. As the practice continues to grow, there is genuine opportunity to expand to additional days for the right person — we'd love for that to evolve naturally over time..

Compensation

Competitive and commensurate with experience. We offer a daily guarantee of $750 to provide stability from day one, plus a percentage of production — so your earning potential grows alongside your patient relationships. During the onboarding period, the $750 minimum daily guarantee is in place to ensure a smooth, pressure-free transition into the practice.
