Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and preferences while adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards such as HIPAA and state healthcare laws. Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and dental records using practice management software such as Open Dental. Ensure strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques are followed during all procedures to guarantee patient safety. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental wellness. Skills Proficiency in dental software platforms including Open Dental for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and healthcare diagnosis processes. Strong background in pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (dental fabrication), oral surgery (including extractions), and anesthesiology for pain management. Ability to perform complex procedures such as root canals, dental extractions, implants, and prosthetic restorations with precision. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients (pediatrics) as well as adult populations. Deep understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Familiarity with medical records management while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare policies.
