Our office operates with Dentrix, Dexis, and Weave. Experience is preferred with our software but not required. Pay does depend on experience. Job Type: Full-time Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic technique and infection control protocols Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pediatric treatments Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed Manage patient records using EMR systems (our office uses Dentrix) while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy Obtain vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and verifying insurance information Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA regulations Assist with medical documentation, coding procedures accurately for billing purposes in Dentrix or similar systems Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration in the applicable state or region Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety guidelines. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient care Benefits are available after 90 days which include: paid time off, employee & family discounts, 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment.
