Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take digital dental x-rays and iTero 3D scans. Manage patient records using electronic dedntal records. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting with a variety of dental instruments. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation. Experience with dental x-ray procedures, oral surgery support, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Expertise in infection control practices including sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention protocols. Ability to operate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members like dental receptionists and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient management.
