Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status Assist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort Capture and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Support infection prevention management by adhering to aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols for all dental equipment and tools Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients is a plus Hands-on experience with dental equipment operation, X-ray procedures, and chairside assisting techniques Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse patient populations Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication to oral health transforms smiles every day!
