Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with chairside procedures such as fluoride treatments, sealants, and local anesthesia administration Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Use dental software systems like OpenDental for documentation review and appointment scheduling Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments Skills Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and pediatric patient management Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently to optimize patient comfort and workflow Knowledge of medical coding, documentation review, and HIPAA compliance standards Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse patient needs Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures in a dental setting Join us to make a meaningful difference in patientsâ lives through expert care, teamwork, and continuous learning.
