Duties Provide high-quality general dentistry services, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions. Perform specialized procedures such as root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry when applicable. Utilize dental software systems like Open Dental, to document patient records accurately and efficiently. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose oral health issues, and develop personalized treatment plans in accordance with healthcare diagnosis standards. Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency. Maintain thorough medical documentation, dental terminology accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Use medical imaging techniques and possess knowledge of anatomy to inform diagnoses and treatment strategies. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions while fostering a positive patient experience. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures to continually enhance clinical skills and service quality. Qualifications Valid state license to practice dentistry with current DEA registration if applicable. Proven experience in dental office settings with proficiency in dental fabrication, extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Familiarity with dental software such as Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for charting and record keeping. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, infection control standards, and aseptic procedures. Ability to perform pediatric dentistry procedures with sensitivity toward young patients (preferred). Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess oral health needs effectively and communicate treatment options clearly. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws ensuring compliance at all times. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in documentation. Commitment to ongoing professional development within general dentistry disciplines including endodontics and prosthodontics.
